Chicken biryani recipe restaurant style

 

Chicken Biryani :

Chicken biryani is a biryani mixed with chicken pieces. It is a mixing of curry later combining with semi cooked rice. The dish is very popular in indian subcontinent.

Ingredients :


  • 1 Kg chicken
  • 4 cup rice
  • 3-4 onion 
  • 3 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp coriander leave
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli power
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp cumin Powder
  • To taste Salt
  • 5-6 green chili
  • 4 cinnamon stick
  • 10 cardamom
  • 10 black pepper
  • As needed oil
  • 4 tsp Ghee



Method of preparation :

1. Mix Marinade in a pot. Add chicken and marinade it for 1 hour.

2. Bring water to the boil in a pot, add salt and spices and add rice, cook for 4 minutes, or until rice is just cooked.

3. Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. Cook onion.

4. Place pot with chicken in it on gas over medium heat. And cook for 5 minutes.

5. Remove lid. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuous.

6. Scatter over half the onion then half the coriander. Top with all the rice. Then add ghee. 

7. Place lid on. Cook over medium heat for 25 minutes.

8. Remove the pan from the gas and let it rest for 10 minutes.

9. Your chicken biryani is ready to serve.
